Discussion: Chestnut Senior Village
Mr. Donald Nielsen, Engineer of Guerriere & Halnon, and Mr. Donald Ranieri, Jr., the applicant, both appeared before the Commission to discuss a minor correction to the site plans for Chestnut Senior Village.
Mr. Nielsen informed the Commission that there has been an appeal to the Planning Board’s decision permit for this site. It has been remanded back to the Planning Board with 2 conditions requested by an abutter to the site. The changes made were the rotation of the parking lot at the westerly side of the site. There are 6-8 screening shrubs requested by the abutter as well. There will be less impervious pavement and more plantings proposed for the site. To the north of the parking lot, there will be a lighting fixture moved. The dumpster area is in
the same location; there is an alternative location on the west side of the building.
Mr. Nielsen requested that the Commission approve these changes as a minor modification to the original plans. He would also like a recommendation to the Planning Board.
The consensus of the Commission members was that these changes to the plan would be an improvement for the site and deemed as a minor modification.
Mr. Nielsen requested a document from the Commission that can be recorded at the Registry of Deeds.
